Friends and Mental Health

I’m doing better than last month, genuinely. Went to Goa with my mom’s side of family. I enjoyed the beach, food, and mostly just family time. It was a nice reset. 2 friends of mine are talking to me again, so that’s nice.

Coursework

Current Status of NIOS

We submitted our application for review and are waiting for the reply from the relevant people.

Maths

2 more chapters of RD Sharma Class 9 done. So going well.

German

Got my A2 results: 48/100, a fail. Reading and speaking were fine. Listening and writing were the problem. It was a prep gap more than an exam-day issue, though being late was also a factor. I didn’t know the format well enough for those sections, lost a lot of time, and it showed.

The plan is to actually prep those sections properly before retaking. Going in without practicing the format was the mistake, and that’s fixable.

App Dev

DA2 had a strong month. The three things that moved: authentication and the user system, core workout and athlete features, and the Supabase backend setup. The monorepo is starting to feel like a real product rather than a skeleton. Good momentum.

Chess

Playing online still, enjoying it. Wanted to get into a tournament this month, had the intent, even had something in mind, but no one had time to drop me.

I don’t mean this in a complaining way at all. I get that the circumstances just weren’t possible, and that’s ok :)

Physical Activity

Clear improvement from last month. Dance is consistent, and the Goa trip helped. It’s hard to be sedentary on a beach.

Overall Verdict

Month Two felt more settled. The German result sucks, but now I know exactly what went wrong and it’s a prep problem. NIOS is moving. DA2 is improving. The friends situation is genuinely better. Physical activity is no longer the embarrassing gap it was.

Overall score: 7/10. Gives insights, but could be better.

The quote of the month: “Why are you reading someone’s blog just for the quote?”
